"The House that Love Built "

This 1890 French Second Empire Victorian home is the only one
of it's architecture in Cleburne. Built by a ship maker, it has inward
slanting walls on the upper floor. Carrell and Kathy McIntosh
bought the home five years ago. It had fallen to neglect requiring
extensive restoration. Carrell, a retired Air Force Officer and
Vietnam veteran painted the house red, white and blue. An
American flag waves in the front yard. The home is built for family,
celebrations, pool parties, grandma and grandpa's house. It is
the house that love built.

'Surprises tucked away in the home will remind you that the joy
of the season is to bring smiles and brighten the spirits to all
ages. This large two story framed home is decorated for all to

'Farmhouse Christmas'

" Anyone that knows me knows how much I love Christmas! It
seems that everything  I do to the house I end up saying 'Wouldn't
that be beautiful at Christmas time?'
Actually, I have to confess, that was the purpose of remodeling
the staircase so I could deck it out for Christmas! To enter the
house is taking a step back in time. I decorate from the heart. I
believe a person's home is a window to their soul. The house
gives you a peaceful feeling. I guess it's because of the sweet
lady, Ms. Leila Hazlett whom lived her life here until she went to
be with the Lord at the age of 100. I had the pleasure of getting to
know her and now understand why the house has her sweet
spirit in it. I promised her I would love it and take care of it as she
did".-----Lisa
